Boulder (Colo.) semi-centennial celebration [between 1955 and 1957].

This folder contains a 14-page carbon copy typescript: Eben Fine's account of the 1909 celebration of the 50th anniversary of the settlement of Boulder, Colo. Fine summarizes Boulder's early history, then discusses the preparations for the celebration, and in particular how he brought a group of Ute Indians to Boulder for the event. He used this material for a chapter in his book, Remembered Yesterdays (Boulder, Colo.: Johnson Publishing Company, 1957), p. 27-49.

Eben Fine, known by some as "Mr. Boulder," gave more than 5,000 speeches around the U.S., showing his slides of Colorado and promoting the region as a tourist's paradise.
